Getting There

The Museum Island is centrally located in Berlin. You can reach Museum Island from Hackescher Markt in a 10-minute walk, TV Tower in 11 minutes, Alexanderplatz in 14 minutes, Friedrichstraße in 15 minutes. (Distances are approximate.)

If you want to know how to get to Museum Island by train, you can use the S-Bahn station Hackescher Markt. After getting off here, you will reach the island in about 15 minutes.
By S-bahn: S3, S5, S7, S9

To go to Museum Island by metro, the nearest U-Bahn station is the Museumsinsel station. From there, you can reach Museum Island after a 5-minute walk.
By U-bahn: U5

If you prefer to travel by bus for transportation, the nearest bus stops to Museum Island are as follows. You can reach the island on foot from these points in about 15 minutes.
By Bus: TXL (Staatsoper); 100, 200 (Lustgarten); 147 (Friedrichstraße)

Finding a taxi might become more challenging depending on the time you intend to use it. You can reach your destination with taxi fares such as 8 EUR from Alexanderplatz, 9 EUR from Friedrichstraße, 16 EUR from Zoologischer Garten, and 20 EUR from Charlottenburg.(Distances are approximate.)

We strongly advise against coming to Museum Island by car. In Berlin, including locals, public transportation is generally preferred. There are no parking facilities specifically for Museum Island; nearby parking lots are often used by businesses and tend to be full.
